Happy First Day of Spring everyone! I’ve never been more excited for a new season probably because we’ve had one of the craziest and coldest winter’s in a long time!
With that said, I’m kicking off the season with a dress that’s not only affordable but screams spring!! I’m not usually a girl who wears or is even attracted to pastels, but there was something about this dress that just spoke to me.
Let’s start with the beautiful colors and pattern. It reminds me of something you would see on the beach in the 1930s. It’s feminine and sweet and has an updated vintage vibe. The cut and style of this dress are so flattering. If you look on the Forever 21 website, you’ll see that they style the dress by tying the self-ties on either side. But after a tip from Shannel Goettman, I tied them in the front and back, cinching the empire waist and drawing more attention to dolman sleeves and V-neck cut that shows just a little cleavage making this sweet dress that much more sexy! I also love that it’s a midi dress, but if you want to show a little leg ladies, just unbutton a couple of buttons and show your gams!
I think this dress is absolutely perfect for Easter, but would also be perfect for a Sunday brunch, bridal or baby shower! And it’s under $30 so it’s a win, win!
I styled it with some nude block heals, statement earrings and the cutest straw clutch you ever did see! The dress runs true to size, I’m wearing a size small, and it’s currently fully stocked in sizes XS-L.
